In a Perfect World

Gasping for air is really painful when surrounded by flaming heat. Anger and rage enveloped the cat as she tried to stand her ground against the demon of  a red rabbit that transformed right in front of her into this big beastly creature of some sort. Within her the other soul of the gatekeeper of hell named Void kept  calling for her to let the dark entity to take over and win the battle for her, but she knew whenever she did that she ended up doing things she regretted later. The demon with his large claws banged his hands towards the ground making her lose footing.  Kitty used her dark kitty claws to rip open a portal next to his head. Even though she doesn't use Void fully she can use some of its powers to transport herself place to place in a jiffy.

When she reached the top of his head she screeched, "In the name of Amelia my mother you are going to die!!"

She ignited black fire mixed with an energy of chaos among the creature; however, he was too fast and blew red hot flames that even a vampire of half dragul blood as herself couldn't defend against. She blacked out and Void took over and all else was dark.

Danny Hare is in the vast wasteland of a desert at night, and he is an explorer of sports seemed to take interest of exploring new places and taking on challenges. Sent from his home from the kingdom of London, and he was on a journey to discover the hidden lands of  Europe that has not been marked down  but also to discover treasure if any. Danny had everything he needed a backpack, his trusty map, a canteen, a belt with his weapons a gun that shoots rubber bullets, a dull blade, some smokers(to escape possible danger) and a whip to lasso potential dangers. Danny Hare had everything he longed for, but sadly he has been exploring for about 2 years now and hasn't found anything so far he would've liked to at least get a girlfriend along the way.

While thinking this thought of his he saw a glint in a distance near some rubble he noticed a girl no older than he was unconscious and battered all over the body but seemed to be heavily breathing.  Danny thought to himself " the girl seems  to be  ble- um she was bleed- she is bleeeddiiiiinnngg!" .

Danny started to feel dizzy as he was thinking this and ran to a secluded spot and started puking. Even though Danny was an explorer he was the most weirdest of all he had a deep phobia of seeing blood. Danny was kind shocked about the girl as she layed face down on the ground. She had long greyish-white hair and a really tiny figure. He decided the best way to go about being able to treat her was to wrap her body with a blanket and carry her to a nearby village. Blood and Danny were two terms that did not mix.

Pain shot up through the arms and legs like there was no tomorrow as she woke up screaming.  Stunned at her surroundings she was not taking in the place very well she was very scared. Her clothes were on the chair beside her and her body was wrapped in bandages. Her face flushed red at the thought of some random stranger undressed her. Even though she was delighted to have a bit of hospitality she decided it was the best option was to eat and run, a vampire like herself can't be mixed up with the world of mortals. Void came in a ghost form in front of her , Void was a black entity with emerald green eyes and to the cat that houses the entity in her body she hated it but learned to live with him or her.

Void seemed to be laughing in a maniacal way, "If it wasn't for me you would be dead by now".

The cat tried to speak but her throat was in so much pain seems as the fumes from the battle affected her throat. She shrugged off Void and tried to stand but her knees buckled and she fell down. Then all of a sudden a brown bunny came in and Void noticed and went inside the cat,

" Oh your awake! I thought you were going to be sleeping for..." when he realized she was naked in bandages he stuttered, "OH M-MY! Umm S Sorry" He covered his eyes and his face blushed a crimson red and he ran into the wall and said,

"Excuse me!" and left. The cat was indeed embarrassed but she needed to get out of there.  Then the door opened again and a black cow came in.

"So sorry about that, but I was the one that treated you when you were injured, let me help you dear."

The cat noticed of her approaching and she hissed at the cow. The cat has not been on friendly terms with mortals except a bunny named Oswald she tried to eat before, but thanks to Mickey she had made a first human friend, but other than him she trusted no one.

The cow was not having it, "Now listen her young lady, I know what you are and around here people are afraid of vampires, I wasn't going to help you till that young man came and begged me on two knees to aid you! My name is Clarabelle and when I make a promise to someone I keep it! Now are you just going to stay on the floor or do I have to force you up!"

The cat was stunned at this, back in her father's hometown where she had grown up she was shunned by people, and was looked at as a monster but this woman was able to look past all her being a vampire and helped her so she reluctantly allowed Clarabelle to help her onto the bed.
Clarabelle then called, "Danny! You can see her now".

The brown bunny named Danny came through the door. The cat wasn't able to notice this but he had really deep blue eyes and seemed she couldn't stop staring at that. Danny noticed the stare and took a gulp, blushed and moved forward.
Danny then started to speak, "Sorry about earlier, I thought you were in bed, but looking at you now you have really pretty red eyes what is that from your culture."

The cat tried to speak but her throat was throbbing in pain. Clarabelle patted her back to motion it was ok not to talk right now.

But she was a bit dumbfounded by Danny's response quickly answered, " You do know that the lady here is a vampire right?"

The cat looked away but wanted to laugh. Danny looked confused but recollected himself.

"There are no things such as vampires Clarabelle, that trait must be genetic " Clarabelle tried to intervene but he kept going "and through evolution we acquire different characteristics that the environment has put on us. As for her light skin I'm guessing she grew up in a area with no sun and that could also attribute to the red eyes. There is a reason for everything."

Clarabelle was a bit peeved off that the rabbit was ignorant of the situation but with her job done she was going to leave.

"Now Mr. Hare the lady here can't talk at the moment, and is not going to be able to be able to move for a while either but she needs to be taken care of; however, this village doesn't take to kindly to.."

Danny just looked at her and knew what she was going to say but he still refused to believe it.

"you know vampires, so you have to move her out tomorrow and make sure she drinks some blood.." Danny head starts to get woozy at the word.

"What is that a culture tradition or something? Can't she drink soup?"

" No just blood and umm yes its tradition and needed! " Clarabelle insisted(she said this while shaking her head in disbelief of Danny's stupidity.

"Goodluck to you and your.....cat lady friend" Clarabelle left

Danny looks to the cat and the cat not being able to move had to deal with this crazy mortal just for awhile she hoped.

Time went by and Danny found a tiny isolated cabin on the edge of town and helped the cat get better. The first few days he tried to serve her human food but the white cat wouldn't look at it or eat it. Remembering what Clarabelle said about how the cat would only be eating blood. He knew what he had to do and he went the extra mile to find a doctor. He finally found the doctor who was wandering the far reaches of town, was known by the name of Goofy. Danny then asked for the blood as it was for someone important. Goofy didn't question why but smiled and handed the blood bag over to Danny. As soon a Danny received the blood bag he fainted from the account of his blood phobia. The doctor revived Danny by taking a smelly sock from his boot and sticking it to his nose. Danny yelped but was okay, disgusted but okay. Goofy went ahead and put the medicated blood in a bag to cover what it was,  so that it wouldn't effect Danny. When Kitty seen Danny come to the room shaking from holding the blood bag to her she realized then that Danny cared for her.

The cat after awhile started warming up to Danny, she was able to talk after awhile but she decided not to because she loved the way he babied her. Danny was a ignorant klutz but he was a really polite one.

The cat just loved the effort he put in when fluffy her pillows, telling her stories about his homeland and his dreams. Then trying to bath her to but while wearing a mask. The cat then decided to speak to him, Danny was trying to cook food and even though she didn't eat it at all he still liked to make it for her out of being nice.

"Danny" The cat whispered

Danny's ears perked a bit and turned around he wasn't sure if the cat talked.

"Danny Thankyou, for everything" the cat said and she blushed. (Why was she blushing by saying so simple as a thankyou to a guy?) Her own reaction astounded her but noticed Danny was intensely looking at her.

"Wow your voice is so beautiful! Sounds so sweet and cheery, but hey you talked! You.."

The cat jumped in, " The name is Kitty Kubbles just so you know"

"Kitty wow I finally learned your name, well it is my pleasure to meet you".

Danny and Kitty started talking more. When Danny mentioned he was going to keep exploring when Kitty was all better, Kitty wanted to join too as she grew attached to Danny. She started to feel comfortable to be around Danny and since he was exploring it made her able to do some finding of her own of a certain red rabbit.

The adventures the two had were many however there were a lot of situations that called for Kitty's vampire powers to give aid. She started cloaking herself for the day and trying to sleep at night so she could enjoy these adventures with Danny. During some travels when the unusual happened Danny brushed off the situations as weird phenomenon. Kitty started to like how Danny fights.  He has weapons that can stun an enemy but not fatally hurt an enemy. He saw no reason for any violence as he would use his dull blade when fighting off weird beasts and even though the beasts were out to kill he wasn't. This fighting tactic left Kitty protecting him while he wasn't watching on occasions it may have been exhausting but for her Danny was worth it. She learned the reason later on in their travels why he fought like this.
Apparently as a child his dad was a local sword smith, and his mother a lady full of eloquent beauty caused bandits to catch attention to her and they killed the father and raped the mother, then afterwards they killed her. Danny was under the bed the whole time this happened and saw the blood oozing towards him. He stayed under the bed for hours scared till a kind stranger pulled him out. He said he remembered him to have very long ears and being a dark orange color.
When Danny was telling the story she felt the pain of him reliving the past and when he was done he was shaking all over. Kitty moved on instinct, grabbed Danny's teary face and pulled him towards her and gave him a kiss. Danny's memory seemed to slip away as the kiss erased the pain of that time. Kitty kissed guys before but for some reason this kiss just seemed right it felt more magical.
Void within Kitty seemed a bit skeptical about her liking Danny since she has played with her food before but now even Void is concerned.

Danny has not had a such luck he discovered ruins and treasures and for strange reasons when he was with Kitty even traveling seemed to be going fast. They would travel 200 miles within 5 seconds sometimes when Kitty would make him close his eyes when the quick transportation would happen. The thought of fast travel as that Danny shrugged that off as time zones and ignored that as well.
Kitty seemed to be more happier but even to please Danny she would eat his food even if to a vampire like her the taste would taste like dirt. She stopped feasting on animal's blood a bit more and more till she started starving herself to one animal per week. It wasn't so bad but she would get really bad urges to bite Danny now and then but sometimes she almost didn't catch herself when she would.  She didn't want to get Danny queasy about the idea of blood and a thought would pass through her head, "Wonder what it is like to be human".

After good time has past Kitty has forgotten all about her anger and why she was angry as her days were filled with being together with Danny. Danny was her night and day and thinking how she lived without him seemed ridiculous. She felt like she was in a wonderful dream that could keep lasting forever but no dreams last forever as a certain smell hit her nose. The stench was so familiar it made her senses feel uneasy and she had to check it out because she believed she knew what it was.

"Danny, I need you to go to the market in the town for awhile..."

Danny then started to worry a bit, " are you sick? Do you need to lie down? Is something ailing you"
The softness and caring in his voice always made her smile as he was so sincere.

" I am feeling a bit tired but I think we ran out of food" Kitty looked at Danny with a puppy pout.

"Don't be silly we restocked about two days a.."

While Danny wasn't looking she opened a portal with her cat claws to within his backpack and emptied the contents to the underworld. Danny felt his backpack get lighter, and with that Danny was startled and opened his backpack to find it was empty.

"My I guess I was wrong boy I must be hallucinating the weight I must be tired to. Sorry for doubting you if I do it again I am going to allow you to punch me for a lady is a always right" Danny smiled and he came by Kitty and kissed her gently on the cheek.

"I promise to come back for you once I  get the food" Danny yelled as he was leaving.

"and I promise to be here when you return" Kitty yelled back.

Now it was time for her to check out that smell.....

Kitty headed over to area ahead where she smelled the stench that irked her ever so. She was able to pinpoint who it was getting closer it was the bastard of the red rabbit that attacked her earlier. Void was able to pick up Kitty's anger. " Oh yeah I smell a battle about to come when you need me I'll be here"

Kitty hissed, " Like I'll need you"

"Well you never know and just mind you if I take over again I'll cause chaos it is so much fun!"

Kitty remembers Danny, " I promise you won't"

She sees a mouse and a black rabbit in the distance near a yellow tent. She could instantly tell it was Mickey and Oswald and she picked up another scent of another friend Liliac. The bat her friend since childhood came out of the tent as she has sensed Kitty too.
Mickey seemed delighted at the presence of Kitty and Oswald just seemed to shudder remembering the time she almost took a nice bite out of him.
Kitty was Mickey's cousin from the dad's side so  seeing family after awhile seemed to cheer her up some but the question was why was the red rabbit here with her friends. That seemed to get her really angry.

"Kitty What are you doing here?" Mickey realized something was off with Kitty the way she was stomping towards them and quickly reminds himself that she usually punches him for not talking to her and flinched as she walked right in front of him.

"Why do I smell the red rabbit here!" Kitty demanded

"You mean Zenox?" Liliac listening was standing in front of the tent and not moving she seemed concerned about something and to Kitty for her to know his name mean't  they could be on friendly terms with him.

" That bastard of a rabbit killed my mother! RIGHT IN FRONT ON ME! and you are either with me or not but IM GONNA KILL HIM!"Kitty yelled.

"WHAT?!" Oswald shocked "Hey can there be a reasonable reason why he um killed your mother?"

"My mother may have been eating the towns sheep by accident but that doesn't mean for him to kill her!"

Mickey seemed alarmed by this but Liliac seemed to just look away as if she knew about it.

Liliac was best friends with Kitty and it was really hard for her to take a stand but she had to and stepped forward, " Zenox is sick, he had lost control and he is sorry about it, but you can't kill him you are going to have to go through me to get to him."

"Now Liliac we can talk like civilized vampires can't we Kitty" Mickey tried to reassure her; however the anger of just knowing the bastard who killed her mother was alive and being protected by her so called friends and family seemed to frustrate her more.
" Well if you aren't going to let me in then I'll just force my way in!"
Kitty nipped her thumb and smeared the ground with it she has dabbled in necromancy before and has perfected it over the years. (Kitty use to before Mickey make dolls to have friends however her dolls started to become very useful in battles such as these.) She created 10 dolls that looked like herself and commanded them to run forward. Mickey and the gang started to go around the tent to protect it. Liliac decided to go into Mickey and as he approved she jumped within him and it has been awhile since Mickey let her use his body but it still tickled and made him giggle. Oswald was looking confounded at what happened.
"Where's Liliac?" Oswald asked

"Right here" Mickey replied with Liliac's voice.

This just made Oswald crack up, "OH MY GOD!! SERIOUSLY MICKEY HAHAAHAHAHAHAHA!! Can't believe that OH MAN IT HURTS TO LAUGH HAHAHAHHAHAHA!!"
Liliac smacked Oswald in the head with Mickey's body. It may be Mickey's body but she was in control. She started to let out her bat screech that made Kitty wince in pain but the dolls weren't infected though and kept running. Oswald then ran forward as he thought of an idea.

Oswald was going to cook up a protective charm to protect themselves and the tent till the dolls started ripping off their clothes. Oswald couldn't move at the sight, he knew he wasn't a pervert but there was too many naked looking women that looked real. In a second they enclosed all around Oswald and one kissed him. Oswald then passed out in the doll's arms.
This happened too fast for Mickey and Liliac to do anything about it.

"YOU DIDN'T POISON HIM DID YOU?!!" Mickey yelled as he took over for his body for a second.

"Of course not I laced the dolls with sleeping herbs no need to worry but I can make my dolls blow up in a second if I wanted but dunno"

Liliac wanted to slow Kitty down so she called upon the demon's arrow from hell. Being a banished princess from the underworld has it's quirks. It was twice as big as a normal bow and the arrow can bring a good stop to anyone, anything, or any vampire and plus it was super fast. Kitty aware of the attacker then used her agility to dash forward and Liliac shot her arrows. It lead a line of explosions to follow Kitty. Kitty used her claws to open a portal and appear on the side of Liliac. Liliac hasn't fought Kitty before and she never knew she could transport herself like this since they never really fought against one another that is what Liliac thinks. Kitty appearing next to Liliac inside of Mickey's body then had her claws extend with dark empire energy into the side of Mickey. Liliac jumped out of Mickey before if affected her too.

"I can't move" Mickey whispered

" I decided to paralyze you but all I need is one more" Kitty said while looking at Liliac, "unless you'll let me fight Zenox"

Liliac looked at Kitty and looked pleadingly at her she was too scared to say it in front of Mickey as he was her master but she had to tell the truth, " Kitty I love him, and I can't let you take him away from me no matter what, I LOVE HIM!"

The words were a blow to Kitty as the word love quaked with Kitty's heart, but she wasn't going to forget that he killed her mother she can't.

"I'm sorry but I have too, my mother was everything to me and he had to take her way" Her fists start to glow with black fire mixed with chaos and she was ready to strike.

Liliac started crying and she couldn't let anything happen to her Zenox even if it mean't hurting the ones she loved. She was scared to use her power as it was too powerful but with Mickey's body she was able to control it some. She was on her own now. She raised her hands to the sky and yelled an enchantment that made a circle of the seal of power above her head she yanked out a ball of white and black mess of energy and tossed it at Kitty.
Void sensed the possible danger of Kitty dying from that attack and forced its way into Kitty's body and made her pull out the Death Scythe to deflect the blow. But in that direction Danny was watching with his bag of food in his hand stunned.
Kitty realizing this her heart stopped seconds were ticking till the blast hit Danny. Seconds to move her hand to create a portal to Danny and all went dark...

Mickey and Oswald were back on their feet with no injuries and Liliac felt ashamed for what she did. What Mickey and Liliac saw since Oswald was asleep, was that Kitty created a portal to where the civilian stood and she pushed him out of the way leaving Kitty to take full impact of the hit which smacked her really hard. The civilian unharmed but seeing the trail of blood from Kitty made him pass out as well. Kitty was gravely injured and she almost died Mickey was able to summon his pal Goofy was a doctor who aided vampires as well. He said he doubt she would be waking any time soon as she was in a coma.
The mortal woke up dizzy but unsure just what happened. He saw that he was on the floor within the tent of a mouse, a black bunny, a red bunny that was sleeping in the corner and, Kitty....

"Kitty!" Danny shouted as he tried to stand up.

"Well look who woke up what's your name?" Oswald sneered "oh and passing out from a scene like that hahahaa! You sure act like a woman"

"WHAT?! Now you see here name is Danny Hare!Ok I'm just a humble man that just doesn't like violence and is Kitty alright ? "

"Hold it" Mickey stepped in " first of all who are you to my cousin Kitty? Seems you know an awful lot about her" Mickey seemed a bit angry to Danny but he decided to answer anyways.

"I am just an explorer of sorts and I found her hurt one day and took her in and we have been traveling ever since"

Mickey seen the sincerity in Danny's blue eyes and didn't know how to take upon it. But one thing is for sure a weakling as Danny can't be Kitty's friend as the way she defended him awhile ago suggests she'll be more open and vulnerable like this to get attacked again.
Mickey then looked again at Danny who was holding Kitty's hand.

"What happened to her" Danny insisted again.

"Well what does it look like" Mickey growing angrier " She took a hit for you and she almost died"

the word die rung through his head. The thought of her being dead would mean the end of his new found happiness, his light, his joy, his everything and he felt dizzy again.

"I think I need some water" Danny exclaimed as he leaned against the bed. Mickey took notice of his weak and frail body. Danny was built but mentally he wasn't able to take things in. Mickey was able to take Zenox and Liliac being together as Zenox had powers to attribute to protecting Liliac.

For Kitty and Danny  and what Mickey was guessing they have an relationship but it must be ended now for her sake.

"You know that Kitty being a vampire means that she is always going to be in danger right Danny?" Mickey said trying to reason him.

"She is not a vampire why is everyone saying that because someone looks different doesn't mean"

Mickey, Liliac and Oswald were shocked that he never realized fully that she was a vampire.

"STOP BEING STUPID AND LISTEN she is a vampire! If things such as vampires didn't exist she wouldn't be almost dead in a coma would she?! Mickey yelled
Liliac felt sorry for the guy but she knew her master when he was angry she had to keep quiet.

"Mickey lighten up this is Kitty's friend we are talking to here" Oswald said as he pat Mickey's shoulder.

Danny's world of what things was, was crumbling down as he was just deeply shocked as for the first time ever he believed that vampires existed.
Danny looked at Kitty again and seen the blood wound on her arm. He ran to the outside of the tent and started puking this assured Mickey of what he had to do.

Mickey came up to Danny," Look here I know you have good intentions, but the way things are now I can't allow you to see Kitty anymore."

"Wh-what?!" Danny stammered.

"She is going to die if she is with you and I noticed she wasn't up to par when she was fighting she kept losing footing here and there and she seems skinnier than usual"

"She said she was trying to lose weight..." Danny said.

"Looks to me she has been starving herself being with you"Mickey looked again with a stern expression towards Danny.

"If you want her to live you have to do what's best and break things off with her whatever you guys were having because for a man not being able to protect a woman is not the type of a man Kitty needs at the moment"

The words of truth set in Danny became a shadow of himself as he looked at Kitty once again and he started becoming teary eyed.

"There there" Oswald tried to cheer him up "Im sure there are other girls in the sea or something nothing as crazy of a package Kitty carries"

Danny looked to Mickey, "Is there no other way for me to be with Kitty"

Mickey looked up, " okay pal ill tell you what if you manage to be able to keep up in battle with me in battle, I'll let you be with her, but what you are now I can't"
Danny understood but before they sent him on his way Danny went over to Kitty and kissed her on her head and whispered softly.

"I promise one day I'll come back for you my love"

With those words he left. Liliac  felt remorse as she felt it was her fault looking at her cubby of a cabbit sleeping in the corner sick with a fever. She looked to Kitty and started to cry. Oswald looked down and Mickey knew he felt terrible what he had done but it had to be done for his cousin's sake.

Liliac, and Oswald transported Zenox to  a more secluded area away from Kitty as they know she'll just try to kill him again.  It took five weeks before Kitty regained consciousness. Mickey kept dodging her questions about Danny till she looked a little bit better he told her the truth.

"What?!" Kitty said after just hearing what Mickey did to Danny.

"YOU HAD NO RIGHT TOO!" Kitty yelled at Mickey

"but he was a mortal, not only that he was a mortal that can barely fight" Mickey replied

"But I knew that and I was going to protect him!" Kitty yelled again but she seemed to be exhausting herself from doing that plus the stress.

"Like what you did that almost got you killed?" Mickey questioned

Kitty looked away defiantly but he knew what he said was true.

"Can't I just find a way to turn be human"

"WHAT?!" Mickey almost fell off his seat.

"I don't care what I am as long as I am with Danny"

Mickey's face turned serious, " It is impossible, the vampire council knows who you are and if you were to turn human that would make you an easy target to kill you, they hate vampires who try to change for the likes of mortals."

"Well then what about Mina wasn't she mortal!"

"Well yes but because I couldn't protect her one time she almost died and I had to force her to transform into a vampire" as Mickey said this Kitty started crying blood from her eyes.

"even your guy wouldn't be able to see you crying as he looks like he gets sick from looking at it."

"GET OUT!! I need to be alone!" Kitty started crying more.

Mickey allowed her request and left her room. He cares not only because she was his cousin because he didn't want her to see her dying as seeing loved ones passed away was more painful than he can bear.

Kitty was crying and shaking the warm touch of his hand, the way he gently caressed her, his gentle words are gone forever. If only she didn't seek revenge and listened to what she wanted within of being with Danny she'd still be traveling with him right now. The dream of being his one and only and living in fairy tale happily ever after was just a dream. In a perfect world Kitty would be a normal girl and Danny a normal man and living together would be no problem.

Somewhere far away Danny found someone to train him and as long as he knows it he is not going to give up.
